Hi everyone,

D.C. sent me the following information and I'm passing it along and adding it to the calendar. Please direct any questions to him or reply to this post.

Thanks,
Cameron

-================================================================-

Tesla Fest 2009 is now combing with the Midwest Inventor's Faire (similar to a Maker Faire only with serious inventors), and the 2009 Midwest Ham Fest. Time: 11 AM to 11 PM. Setup for exhibitors and amateur radio operators at 10 AM.

Tesla Fest and Inventor's Faire 2009 is scheduled on Aug. 29, 2009. This event will be held at the Baraboo / Sauk County Fairgrounds and has two large buildings to house the event in case of rain. We have been very lucky the past 5 years and never been rained out, but moving it indoors will save us headaches some year.

Available power is 120 / 220 Volts at 150 Amperes continuous.

I plan on displaying a "singing" DRSSTC, a 1 million Volt classic RSG coil, a 40 kVA Climbing Arc, a 800 kV Marx Impulse Generator, a 750 kV Van de Graaff Generator, and various other machines.

Location is East side of Baraboo, Wisconsin, on Hwy 33 --- only 1 block into town and on south side of Hwy 33. 195 miles NW of Chicago, IL, then 10 miles West on Hwy 33 into Baraboo. For those flying in, plan on Madison, WI (identifier MSN). Usually thru Minneapolis (Northwest) or Chicago (Northwest, United, American,or Delta)

Two nearby local hotels include the Spinning Wheel Motor and the Thunderbird Inn. Both are located directly across street from the fairgrounds. Also two restruants, the 4 Star and the Log Cabin are located directly across the street. Food will also be available on the fairgrounds.

This year we ask anyone presenting a display to contact us via email (resonance@wildblue.net) to advise of your intent such that we may tape off a display area suited to your machine. Please advise on or before August 10, 2009.

Tesla coils both large and small welcome. Also welcome is any type of HV machine such as Marx Generators, Van de Graaff Generators, Cockcroft-Walton Voltage multipliers, etc.

Midwest Inventors from MN, WI, IL, IN, and IA will be displaying some interesting contraptions including a large roaming robot.

Hope to see you in August.

Steve, you are correct. This is the same weekend as Ed's Teslathon and yes, he is having it. David, Phillip and I already have plane tickets and hotel accommodations. I didn't realize the conflict yesterday when I posted this.

We have not received invitations from Ed yet, but I did speak with him over the phone to confirm everything.

Take care,
Cameron
