I'm working on a Discovery Channel science show about unusual scientists and science experiments, and we're looking at some of Tesla's work in the series - mainly at his ideas about wireless transmission of energy. I was just wondering if I could ask the advice of this forum about where we could go to get a Tesla coil in NYC? We're hoping to film a working coil at our location so we can talk through some of Tesla's ideas and inventions.
I know this probably sounds like a strange request, but if anyone has any ideas about people who own (or can get their hands on) a Tesla coil in the NYC area I'd love to hear them. Some of Tesla's ideas seem so out there when you talk about them it would be great to be able to demonstrate one of his working inventions.
