It seems likely that sometime over the course of the 21st century a grand unification theory will be proposed. As Leedskalin was hinting at, our neat and tidy model of the atom may well be far too simplistic. Gravity, the strong force and the electromagnetic force are all likely to turn out to be different manifestations of the same force, and it seems that that insight can't come to us as long as we visualize atoms the way we do. The model may be blinding us to insights that Tesla could have, or possibly did, bring to our attention
