Title: Promote Tesla and engineering on Discovery Channel show "The Colony"
Post by: johncohn on February 26, 2010, 10:48:37 PM
Folks,
Hope this is ok to post here. I'm trying to find someone who would be willing to do some 'mad science' inventing as part of the second season of the Discovery Channel science / reality show "The Colony"  http://discovery.com/colony (http://discovery.com/colony) .

I'm a long time coil builder and part time 'mad scientist' Last year I spent 2 months living in an abandoned warehouse inventing about 15 hours a day as part of the  first season of the show  While the show wasn't pure Tesla by any means, I did manage to build a spark gap transmitter and a small battery powered tesla coil out of scavenged parts in the warehouse.

Doing the show is not easy.. you will spend long hours working to find water, food and equipment.. but you'll have the time of your life inventing under constraints. You will be  able  to demonstrate Tesla's theories and other scientific marvels to millions of folks worldwide.   If you think you'd be interested or have questions , please contact me johncohn@us.ibm.com  or contact the casting agency directly at http://metalflowersmedia.com (http://metalflowersmedia.com) and look for the application for The Colony.
Thanks !
