October, 18th:  Unit Of Flux Named After Tesla

At the Conférence Générale des Poids et Mesures (CGPM) in Paris, Tesla's name is honored with an International Unit. The tesla (symbol T) is the SI derived unit of magnetic flux density (or magnetic inductivity). He is one of only three Americans to be given such an honor.
