Commemorative Plaques At The New Yorker Hotel Where Tesla Lived

(Click the image to open full-screen)
These are photos of The New Yorker Hotel and Tesla's Room, number 3327, where he lived the final ten years of his life from 1933 to 1943.

In 2001, a plaque, created by the Yugoslav-American Bicentennial Committee in 1977, was finally installed on the outside of the building. In 2009, a similar plaque was installed on the door of the room in which Tesla lived.

Thank you so much for these photos! It is wonderful for people who can't travel to be able to see this "home" and its surroundings. Such a glimpse into one area of this unusual man's life lends context, breath and feeling that the written word failed to evoke in this midwesterner.
