Author Martin Hill Ortiz has just published some very interesting research on Tesla's East Houston Street laboratory. His research has uncovered what seems to be the only existing photo containing a glimpse of the laboratory.

Cameron, it was rumoured that one of his table top oscillators started the fire originally and I agree too with this... after seeing the specs of one of the Pancake Coils from Long Island Notes the oscillator for running vacuum tubes was operating under really strange parameters. A large condenser and a pancake coil system with relatively few turns...imagine a coil with a natural resonant frequency of around 500kHz being forced to run at around 20kHz... low voltages and high currents...
