Tesla’s education
Tesla completed the first grade of elementary school in Smiljan, and the remaining grades in Gospić because his father was transferred there.
He attended high school, focusing on real sciences, in Gospić and Karlovac. For his higher education in engineering, he studied in Graz (present-day Austria) and Prague, the capital of Czechoslovakia.
Throughout his education, Nikola Tesla did not attend lectures in his native language like you, children, but in foreign languages, which is much more challenging. You are much luckier because you live in your free and great Homeland, which strives to provide you with as many comforts as possible. However, in the past, when our people were not so united in a free state, in some regions Yugoslav children were prohibited from learning in their native language.
