Nikola Tesla Books

Books written by or about Nikola Tesla

He suffered particularly severe illnesses after completing the fourth grade of high school. At that time, he was so ill that both doctors and parents had lost all hope for his recovery. Convinced that there was no cure for him, desperate parents fulfilled his every wish, and his greatest desire was to be allowed to read. His parents willingly allowed him to do so. Tesla read for a long time, mostly the humorous stories of the great writer Mark Twain. In doing so, he completely forgot about his illness, and miraculously, his body began to recover, and he soon regained his health.

Later, when he became famous as an inventor in America, Tesla met Mark Twain and told him how he had cured a severe illness by reading his witty stories. The great writer Mark Twain, who could charm anyone, was so delighted when Tesla told him this story that he cried with joy.

The second illness - cholera

An even greater miracle happened to Tesla when he finished high school.

Just as Nikola’s father was preparing what he needed to send him to study for the priesthood, the most terrible disease, cholera, broke out, affecting everyone at home, including Nikola.

Nikola’s mother and father were terrified because they had recently lost their older son, and Nikola was their only son, their only hope and support. Now, he too was on the verge of death, suffering from the most dangerous disease! His death was expected at any moment. It was already there, looming over Nikola. There was no end to the despair of his parents. They helplessly watched over him.
