Recognition of Tesla's Merits

Nikola Tesla took out several hundred patents in more than thirty countries. For his services to science, fourteen titles of honorary doctor were conferred on him, and twenty leading scientific institutions and academies elected him to membership. In 1912 he refused to accept the Nobel Prize for Physics which he was to share with Edison.

We are publishing the documents on some of his most important recognitions.

The Edison Medal, the highest recognition for merits in the field of electrical engineering in the United States, awarded to Nikola Tesla in 1916.
